Start making plans to attend the 2013 National Grange Legislative Fly-In. This year\u2019s Fly-In is June 2-4th<\/sup>.\u00a0 You will have the opportunity to meet with your elected representatives in Congress and their staff to discuss the issues facing rural America today. Your voice will be heard.<\/p>\n

Before meeting with your representatives in Congress attendees will be briefed on important issues facing the Grange today such as, the 2013 Farm Bill, reform of the U.S. Postal Service, and Boadband expansion and the obstacles it faces in 2013. While in D.C., Grangers will be treated to a luncheon at the historical Press Club. It\u2019s a trip you can\u2019t miss!<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Ekonk Community Grange donates Dry Erase Map<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"ekonk\"<\/a>The Junior High students at Sterling Community School in Sterling, Connecticut have a brand new 8×13 foot map of the world in their hallway thanks to Ekonk Community Grange and Junior Grange. The map was built in eight sections that can be moved around easily and then reattached to the wall. Russell Gray of Ekonk Community Grange said, \u201cWe are pleased to donate this useful map, which students can use dry erase markers on and then easily erase and reuse map for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

The school purchased a plaque and officially dedicated the map on Wednesday, March 6th. Gray said, \u201cTwenty-one members of the Junior Grange were given permission to leave class to attend the dedication.\u201d Two local newspapers also attended the dedication.<\/p>\n

The included photo shows the 21 Junior Grangers with the new map.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n

\"featured\"<\/a>Has your Grange been recently featured in the e-newsletter? Has your Grange been very active on social media? These are just two of the many reasons your Grange could receive a new web badge. Web badges are visual icons to celebrate achievements or activities of a Grange.<\/p>\n

These badges can be used on your Grange\u2019s social media, website, printed products or other promotional materials. One Grange put them on placemats they had printed for their hall to use during dinners and other functions. Another Grange wanted their badge on their pop up banner. These eye-catching badges can be displayed with pride any way that your Grange sees fit.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n
