Huber lauds choice for Democratic FCC Commissioner
On Wednesday, National Grange President Betsy Huber expressed her satisfaction with the nomination of Jessica Rosenworcel to fill the FCC Commissioner seat she had recently vacated as the Democratic appointee.
“Ms. Rosenworcel is a great supporter of rural broadband expansion, something that is tremendously important to not only those who live in rural areas but our entire nation. Her commitment to rural broadband expansion will allow rural students to do modern-day homework. It will also bring teleeducation, telemedicine and telebusiness to help revitalize rural and small town America and ensure its prosperous future.
“As a member of the FCC’s Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee, I look forward to working with her on this modern issue of equitable rural access – something the Grange has championed since 1867.”
