Grange: Proposed Part D changes could add middlemen, barriers
The National Grange has released the following statement regarding the Department of Health and Human Services’ announcement on potential changes to the Medicare Part B program:
“Americans living in rural areas often face obstacles when seeking the proper medical treatments they need. The announcement by the Department of Health and Human Services regarding Medicare Part B could add further barriers to care by putting middlemen between patients and their doctors and altering how physicians pay for certain medicines. These proposed changes will significantly affect crucial access to value-based treatment options and it is critical that we protect patients’ by ensuring doctors can continue to provide the best care available.”
