Grange looks to Congress for permanent solution after court ruling on net neutrality repeal
The National Grange on Tuesday, Oct. 1, released a statement following the announcement that the court of federal appeals has upheld the FCC action to repeal net neutrality policies.
“Congress has promised action to help improve rural internet access and spur greater broadband investment. Yet, they continue to ignore one of the key hurdles to achieving this goal. Without a consistent set of net neutrality rules on the books – that applies across the internet ecosystem – our communities will miss out on social and economic opportunities afforded by reliable connectivity and investment in internet infrastructure. The ruling has been made but the uncertainty has not ended. Congress now must step up and deliver on their commitment to give Rural America the protections and connectivity it deserves.”
