Congress Should Protect Family-Owned Businesses and Farms
The National Grange and 148 agriculture and small business groups are asking Congress to oppose changes to current family business tax law as it writes the “pay-for” provisions of its reconciliation package. Eliminating stepped-up basis provisions will expose families to a double death tax, capital gains and estate taxes.
