Cosponsors Sought for Osteoporosis Testing Legislation
The National Grange contacted 26 members of the House Ways and Means Committee to cosponsor H.R. 3517, the Increasing Access to Osteoporosis Testing for Medicare Beneficiaries Acts of 2021. Medicare funding cuts have resulted in drastic declines in bone density scans. It’s important to restore Medicare funding for early screening because more people die every following a hip fracture than die from breast cancer.
