Fire damages Grange Hall

The cause of a Thursday morning fire that charred a key community facility in Los Olivos is currently under investigation.

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the blaze, at the Grange Hall, 2375 Alamo Pintado, at 9:15 a.m., with at least three engines and a battalion chief. They had the fire put out by 9:45 a.m.

The flames were confined to the rear kitchen area of the popular community meeting place, according to Santa Barbara Fire Capt. David Sadecki.

The first arriving firefighters found smoke showing from the front of a single-story structure, Sadecki added.
