Goodnick to give a lecture on gardening

Well-known garden writer and lecturer, Billy Goodnick will be holding a lecture on gardening at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 15, in Stacy Hall at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church at 2901 Nojoqui Ave., Los Olivos.

The event was originally scheduled to be at the Grange Hall in Los Olivos, but had to be relocated due to a fire at the Grange. Refreshments will be served.

Goodnick’s topic will be “Design by Plagiarism: Discover how to adapt designs you see in magazines, books and other regions to your own garden using locally-appropriate plants.”

The results can be an inventive, satisfying and sustainable garden suited to local conditions.

Goodnick is a contributing editor and award-winning blogger at Fine Gardening magazine, a landscape coach, an engaging and often hilarious lecturer on gardens and garden design as well as the garden writer for the “805” magazine and Edhat.
