Grange encourages participation in drug take back efforts
National Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 27, and the Grange encourages everyone to take part in the event.
“It’s simple. By checking for unused or unnecessary prescriptions and taking them to a local Take Back site this weekend, you can help reduce the likelihood that medicines end up in the wrong hands,” National Grange President Betsy Huber said. “Efforts to eliminate access can help us put an end to prescription drug abuse that can lead to the beginning of an opioid addiction.”
Huber encouraged everyone to check the takeback.dea.gov site to find a local Take Back site and learn more about the effort to stem medication abuse and the opioid crisis.
