Grange supports FCC’s judicious approach to 5G Fund for Rural America
Yesterday, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted several important measures that will help close the digital divide in rural America. This includes the creation of a $9 billion 5G Fund for Rural America to extend basic connections to those in most need and invest in cutting-edge agricultural technologies. As long-time advocates for more precise broadband maps, we fully support the FCC’s decision to wait until after the Digital Opportunity Data Collection process is completed to make these targeted investments. The National Grange applauds Chairman Pai for his continued efforts to streamline regulations to connect more Americans and make rural economies more efficient and resilient.
