Ground breaking for Grange Building at Hunterdon 4-H Fairgrounds

ground_breakingAnother step toward the construction of a building for antique tractor display at the Hunterdon County 4-H and Agriculture Fair took place Wednesday with a ceremonial ground-breaking at the South County Park near Ringoes.

Officials from the Grandview Grange of Flemington, which is paying for the building, and the State Grange joined members of the fair Board of Directors for the event.

Since the fair was first held at the park in 2004, the tractors have always been in a tent. Because of the large number of entries, it’s always been the biggest tent on the grounds. Most of the tractors are restored.
