National Grange president urges House committee to adopt Obesity Act
In a letter to House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers, National Grange president Chris Hamp called upon the Committee to pass the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act (TROA) and send the legislation to the Senate. Hamp stressed the fact that 48 percent of adults in non-metro areas are living with obesity that contributes to Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other chronic illnesses.
