National Grange Urges Congress to Fund the Broadband DATA Act and Close the Digital Divide
We applaud the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for discussing the importance of the Broadband DATA Act for mapping communities in America that lack access to high speed broadband. Rural America suffers especially from a lack of access to broadband. Having reliable broadband maps are imperative to understanding where more funds can help support bringing broadband to all Americans.
However, there remains a lack of funding for the Broadband DATA Act. Congress has a unique opportunity to make universal broadband a reality by fully funding the Broadband DATA Act, which passed with strong bipartisan support earlier this year. We urge Congress to make funding available soon.
