FAIRBANKS — The North Pole Grange Gallery is up and running again after temporarily closure because of vandalism during the summer.

The Grange Gallery held a reopening show featuring Fairbanks painter and jewelry maker Carol Wilbur last weekend, according to gallery president John Porrier.

In addition to abstract watercolors and sliver, brass, clay and aluminum earrings by Wilbur, the show included paintings by North Pole painter Betsy Bear.

The gallery, which opened about six years ago, closed in June after vandals broke in and smashed glass and overturned tables. A modem, a router and a fire extinguisher were taken during the break in.

The individual or group responsible for the vandalism was never identified or apprehended, Porrier said.
