Sterling-Shirley Grange installs officers

Installation of Officers marks the beginning of a new Grange year. Sterling- Shirley Grange 53 cordially invites the public to this event on Thursday, September 5 at the Grange Hall, 14 Maple Street, Sterling. A business meeting begins at 4 p.m., followed by a potluck supper and the installation at 5:45 p.m. All are welcome to attend any or all of these activities.
The Installation ceremony outlines the basic principles of the Grange and explains the meaning and symbolism of the fourteen offices. Officers to be installed are: Master/ President, Janet Segur of Rutland; Overseer/ Vice-President, Nita Giovannucci of Clinton; Lecturer/Program Director, Marion Wood of Shirley; Steward, James Temple of Sterling; Assistant Steward, Donald Segur of Rutland; Lady Assistant Steward, Dorothy St. Jean of Lunenburg; Chaplain, Blanche Manktelow of Leominster; Treasurer, Vernon Gaw of Sterling; Secretary, Louise Jordan of Rutland; Gatekeeper, Lillian Crothers of Shirley; Ceres, Phyliss Fife of Princeton; Pomona, Gloria Shaughnessy of Clinton; Flora, Gloria Popp of Clinton; and member of the Executive Committee, Carlton Crothers of Shirley.
