WATERBORO — The Waterborough Historical Society held its 5th Annual Chili, Chowda & Apple Dessert Contest on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Grange Hall, where judges and attendees enjoyed tasting more than 20 entries.

The following were judges for the event: Gary Prokey, Rebecca Higgins, Anne Haskell, Nancy Brandt, Neil Haskell, Paula Nadeau, Gary Pennell, Heidi Card and Cory Fredericks.

Peg Walker won the 50/50 raffle.

The Society would like to thank the following sponsors: Lakeside Market, The Maine Real Estate Network and Dianne Holden and Foglio, Inc. for their continued support of the event.

This annual fundraiser helps the Society to maintain the properties that it either owns or is caretaker of, thereby preserving Waterboro’s past for the future.
